The American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior/AVSAB recommends starting socializing and training before completing your puppy’s shots. While your puppy’s health is vulnerable at a young age, more dogs die from lack of early socialization than from disease. -

A puppy who does NOT go to dog parks or non-puppy-specific daycare AND has not had any lethargy, coughing, vomiting or diarrhea within 24 hours
A puppy wearing both a collar and a front-clip harness (harness preferred, not required)
