Meet the Team

Karl Roberts & Anna Robertson, Mutt's + Munch Owners

Karl roberts & Anna Robertson, Owners

Like all good stories ours starts with a dog, not the same dog, our childhood dogs. We all have fond memories of our first dogs and it starts a lifelong obsession with our furry compatriots. Fast forward to adulthood and we developed another obsession, food. Seriously, our vacations are planned around what food the place we are going to is famous for and we have travelled the world with that ethos in mind. Not long after hooking up we quickly realized that whilst we had pretty successful careers we weren’t doing anything that satisfied our souls. There’s a lot we enjoy doing but one of the things we took for granted was taking our dog Jackson everywhere with us in London, especially to the pub!

Whilst planning our L.A wedding, we thought how cool it would be to bring our passion and experience to California so that you all could experience that ‘take your dog anywhere’ feeling. So, just a few years later, let’s not count 2020, we present….Mutts + Munch.

  • Mutts and Munch Jackson

    Jackson, Head of Training Compliance

The self appointed leader of the pack and elder statesman, Jackson has been with us for 8 years and came all the way from England when we moved here. He’s assisted many dogs in their socialization and regularly works as a training assistant. You’ll see him in many of the classes as the demo dog, he knows the commands and will show your dogs how it’s done. What special skill does J have that allows him to excel in this role? He’s straight up greedy.

  • Mutts and Munch Rizzo

    Rizzo, Master of Mischief

The would-be Head Greeter if only he liked dogs as much as he does people. Found on the streets of L.A he epitomizes the feral dog ‘tude by cosying up to humans and wandering off whenever he gets the chance. He joined our pack in 2019 and has made great strides in his doggy socialization, we don’t actually worry about him anymore. But….if there’s an advantage to be taken,a limit to be pushed or a bed to steal……there’s The Riz.

  • Mutts and Munch Shuri

    Shuri, The Apprentice

Our third, youngest and biggest member of the team Shuri is working her way up to being a training assistant and has already bagged a few gigs. She spent the first six months kept in a backyard until our rescue partner found her and brought her to us. We haven’t looked back since, we also haven’t looked left, right, down anywhere actually apart from right at her while we complete her rehabilitation. She can do it, she’s nailed her basic obedience and is getting the advanced stuff but every now and then, when the moon is right and the tide is high the S-Pops crazy eyes emerge and she turns into a kangaroo.
