Frequently Asked Questions

How long is a training session?

Group sessions last 1 hour and we always leave some time at the end for questions and wrap up.

Does my dog have to be fully vaccinated?

Yes, for the safety of all dogs we can only admit fully vaccinated dogs into the training center. You also need to provide us with vaccination records which can be uploaded at the time of booking. You can bring these with you on the day but if you forget we won't be able to allow you to participate. It’s the law.

Does my dog have to be neutered/spayed?

No but if your dog is in heat then you won’t be able to attend as it will be too distracting to other dogs, especially the boys.

What sort of leash and collar should my dog have?

Regular collar, or harness which is better for puppies, and regular leash, no retractable leashes as they don't give you any control and will make the leash walking training trickier for you. Absolutely no choke chains, pinch/prong collars or slip leashes. We don’t mind slip leashes actually but they take some training to use properly so not suitable for pups.

My dog is sick, can I get a refund?

Unfortunately not but we will credit your account and you can rejoin the correct class when your dog is well.

How many dogs are in a class?

We take a maximum of 6 dogs per class and require a minimum booking of 3 for the class to go ahead. On the rare occasion a class isn’t sufficiently booked we may ask you to join a busier class for the full group experience.

How many of us humans are allowed?

It’s great to get the whole family involved and we can accommodate 4 humans per dog.

What about children, can they come along?

Of course, as long as they are well behaved and willing to participate, we can’t train kids for you, that’s much tougher. The environment isn’t ideal for babies and toddlers so probably best to leave them at home. If you have no option but to bring them we may ask you to step out if we think it’s unsafe.
